Mother's Day

Happy Sunday everybody,
Hope your Mother's Day went well! Today, I drove and surprised my Mom by bringing her to Hudson, WI and buying her lunch. Then, we went walking around the beautiful area down by the river. It was so great. Later this afternoon I then went to the beach with a of couple great friends!

Garage Sales

Hey Everyone!
So Today, Tomorrow, and Saturday my community is having garage sales all around! They estimated about 1000 just in my community!! So, today I went around and checked some things out and saw a few cool things!

My best and only buy of the day! An old Nikon film camera! To me I thought $2 was a steal!

Tomorrow I'm having a "photo shoot" with a few close friends of mine and I'm really excited to share the pictures, which will probably be uploaded hopefully by Saturday, but my weekends tend to get a tad hectic!
HAVE A WONDERFUL FRIDAY TOMORROW :)

Biggest Obsession: SHOES

Hi,
Day 2 of my photography blog and I have no clue how to work this site! Here are pictures of different types of shoes I've taken in different settings.

Taken at the SHE fashion show on the setting Shutter Priority (TV).

Taken at a park near my house on the setting Auto (no flash).

Taken at Carver Lake on the setting Aperture Priority (AV).

Taken in Hudson on the setting Auto (no flash)

Taken outside on my sidewalk on the setting Aperture Priority (AV).

I'm still trying to get the structure of my blog, mostly it will be certain "categories" of pictures with which setting and where they are taken. Hopefully I will get the hang of this thing! Thanks for stopping by :)

Flowers

Hi Fellow Bloggers,
This is my first ever blog. I am a sixteen year-old inspiring photographer looking to share my work with others. My first blog is on flowers and how to simply capture their beauty. Most flower pictures can either be taken on the "close-up" setting or "aperture priority/AV". I prefer to use the AV setting to capture the main point and blur the background using the 18-55mm lens.

This picture was taken in Lacrosse, Wisconsin at a local garden. The "close up" captures and focuses on the smallest details, including the rain droplets.

This picture is of a beautiful rose my Mom brought home for me one day. I used the AV setting to enhance the main part of the flower, then to blur out the background.
This picture was taken once again on the AV setting to enhance the simplicity of the main part of the flower. I really enjoy how the middle of the flower "pops" out.

Thanks for reading, please follow my blog and I will be sure to follow back :). Hope all is well. -AJY
